Comins Guitars GCS-16-1 (autumn burst)

Variants
Imparts the girth of tone that only a guitar body with ample air space can achieve.

The body size also helps reduce potential for feedback and the built-in full size humbucker creates smooth and well balanced amplified tonalities. As a jazz guitar the GCS-16-1 does everything you want it to do and fingerstyle players will appreciate the lofty overtones imparted by the laminated Spruce top. Included is a TKL hard-shell case.

Presque parfait ! Un petit bémol, toutefois : l’emplacement du bouton de Strap sur la caisse n’est pas le meilleur et la guitare a tendance à pencher vers l’avant, en position debout.... En position assise, pas de problème.

The price might seem high for a guitar built in a factory in South Korea. Normally the instrument is built there but then setup in the US at Comins. It actually surpassed all my expectations at all levels. The bridge was not in place when I received the instrument (it probably happened during shipping from US). After correcting it, it was nice to hear the warm sound of this hollow body. Thanks to the Kent Armstrong pick ups. It's a shame there are not more available on the Swiss market. To me it's definitely a keeper. I tried the Ibanez LGB30, it's really not the same league. I spent the double but it's easily twice better. It feels like a real instrument and it's inspiring. If you are looking for a Jazz hollow body and have the opportunity to grab one, do not hesitate.
