General
Leslie speakers are essential when it comes to recreating that legendary Hammond organ sound, as their rotating drum and horn give the naturally dry organ a healthy dose of soul and warmth. The internal amplifier delivers 300 watts of power that's distributed over a 15-inch Celestion woofer and a powerful custom Horn Driver. If you're after that authentic tube sound, this speaker has a vacuum tube in the preamp, giving you that genuine Leslie sound in all its glory!
Leslie 3300W: under the bonnet
Just like the classic Leslie, this 3300-watt speaker is equipped with a Horn Driver and a drum that both rotate at variable speeds. The Eminence woofer is responsible for the low tones and distributes the sound evenly over the rotating drum. The Horn Driver, however, rotates itself, and to keep this rotation balanced, there's another separate horn at the other end. Both the horn and the drum are equipped with their own individual motor so you can adjust the Rise Time, Fall Time, Slow Speed and Fast Speed.

The Leslie 3300W rotary speaker also features a 12AX7 tube in the preamp to add the right amounts of warmth and shredding. Using the rotary knobs, you can control the intensity of the tube's sound, ranging from subtle to raw to overdrive. You can connect just about every keyboard instrument, synth or electric guitar to this speaker by means of the jack input or the available 8 and 11-pin Leslie connectors. So, if you want the powerful characteristics of the original Leslie 971 in a compact, portable package that's built to last, then the Hammond Leslie 3300P fits the bill!
