I've been making music for over 20 years and own several amplifiers. In the rehearsal room, I use a rectifier. I wanted to have a similar sound at home, and that's how I came across the MT15. It has a fantastic sound, but it's almost impossible to adjust for quiet listening (e.g., in an apartment building in the evening). Even in the 7-watt mode, there's a significant increase in volume from almost silent to loud within a 1mm turn of the knob. So, I built a pedal with a potentiometer that can be inserted into a loop. This allows me to reduce the signal strength in the loop and also drive the amplifier to full saturation, all at a quiet volume. These pedals are also available for purchase. So now I'm happy.
