This makes the bass ideal for stage use. Even without amplification, the Alien 's tone is concise, dynamic and expressive, with a growling tone and rich punch across the instrument's entire frequency spectrum. The Alien is equipped with the Fishman Prefix Plus system. With the variable notch filter, a phase reversal switch and controls for bass, treble, brilliance as well as the semi-parametric contour, a wide range of options are available to modulate the sound in a differentiated manner. A 'low battery' indicator provides timely information about a decreasing capacity of the 9-volt power supply.
