Roland is a world's leading manufacturer of musical instruments, electronic equipment, and software. It was found in 1972 by Ikutaro Kakehashi. Roland's influence on electronic music and technology is significant, and they have created iconic products that have shaped the music industry over the years. Thanks to their wide range of innovative products, Roland won its place on the market and has been able to make a real difference by bringing people and music closer.

The pad also provides separate bow and edge triggering. The CY-5 can be also used as an additional cymbal pad, such as a splash, on V-Drum kits.

Roland Corporation

I use this cymbal as a Hi Hat for my Drum Rocker brain to play Rock Band. It works like a charm. Sensitive enough for heavy rock fills.
Noise wise is not the quiietest, but is much better than the standard IONs. 
Recommend for Drum Rocker owners.

È un prodotto adatto a particolari esigenze legate alla limitazione di spazio e al controllo del volume se ci si esibisce e ci si esercita in luoghi in cui bisogna mantenere un volume basso. Buono per lo studio, discreto e poco ingombrante. Dinamica non propriamente simile a un Hi-Hat acustico, il suono condizionato ovviamente al modulo sonoro a cui ci si collega. Lo uso con un modulo Roland TD-17 che ha campionature discrete, Hi-Hat abbinato al pedale FD-9 anche questo prodotto idoneo per esigenze legate alla compattezza del set e al controllo volume. Regolare Hi-Hat dal modulo non è operazione semplice, ci si deve lavorare parecchio per giungere ad una dinamica soddisfacente e simile allo strumento acustico. Potessi scegliere, ovviamente suonerei su un set acustico, ma se ci si deve focalizzare sulla problematica dello spazio e dell'isolazione fonica, ritengo che i prodotti Roland V-Drum siano i migliori sul mercato.
