Bass DI/Preamp with Speaker Emulation, Character Control, Effects Loop, XLR Output, Parallel Output, Six Level, Tone, and Drive Shaping Controls.(Level, Mid, Character , Drive, Low, and High Knobs) All metal rugged chassis construction

Contexte : J'utilise cette pédale en live dans un projet Néo-Soul / Pop / Hip-Hop depuis juillet 2021 et c'est un plaisir. Dans le projet un ampli n'est pas nécessaire vu que j'utilise un son moderne, compressé et que les salles dans lesquelles je joue sont en général grandes et à l'étranger. J'avais donc besoin d'un préamp/DI avoir le contrôler sur mon tone et à petit budget (pas peur de perdre ou de casser une lampe).

Avantages : 
- La pédale est compacte pour un pré amp qui condense autant de possibilités. Le potard de 'blend' (donc l'intensité de l'émulation d'ampli) fait vraiment le job pour ce que je fais. Ça sonne massif. 
- L'EQ est précise et les mid - que je booste toujours un petit peu - sont franchement tranchants et permettent de bien sortir du mix. 
- Je garde les potards de 'character' et de 'drive' au minimum pour garder ma place dans le low - end mais ils permettent aussi une grande variété de son. Le bouton 'bite' donne vraiment du mordant au son, il est en général toujours poussé. 
- J'utilise surtout l'émulation de cab (l'autre bouton) à la maison dans la carte (les scènes que je fais ont en général des caissons de basses qui sont déjà 'goofy'). 
- Possibilité d'être alimenté en 48v directement de la table, pratique ! 
- Dans l'ensemble, c'est du solide. 
- Je sors directement en XLR et l'ingé son n'a pas grand-chose à faire en général :)

Inconvénient : 
- Les potards sont vachement rapprochés, ce qui fait que ce n'est pas trop une pédale qu'on va toucher pendant le live.  
- J'aurais aimé un potard de fréquence médium pour pouvoir me placer un peu plus bas dans les mids. 
- Le clapet pour la pile bouge un peu ça fait cheap.

Conclusion : Du solide et du bon son en général ! Si j'avais un plus gros budget je partirais sur la Markbass Mark Vintage Pre ou directement sur une Tone Hammer 500.
