ADAM Sub15 Subwoofer

The robust woofer chassis (diameter: 390 mm) with an extremely rigid aluminum membrane is driven by a powerful magnet and a 100 mm voice coil. With an output of 1000 watts RMS, the PWM amplifier achieves an efficiency of approx. 90% - so the Sub15 also masters critical passages with high and impulsive bass components without distortion and without overheating. The bass reflex tube, which works downwards, avoids annoying flow noises thanks to its generous dimensions and appropriate rounding. In order to be able to adapt the sound to different room conditions and individual needs, there are control options for the volume (-60 to +6 dB) and the upper limit frequency of the subwoofer (50-150 Hz). The satellites can be controlled either full-range or via a high-pass filter at 85 Hz. This means that the Sub15 can be perfectly integrated into Dolby-compatible surround monitoring, for example. Furthermore, unfavorable phase relationships between satellites and subwoofer, especially in the pickup area, can be managed by switchable phase inversion on the subwoofer. The Sub15 also shows flexibility when it comes to connection options: all inputs and outputs are designed to be both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA or Cinch). The Sub15 combines excellent impulse fidelity with an impressive bass impression and thus achieves the greatest possible authenticity when playing music. With a high, undistorted sound pressure of 112db max SPL at 1 m, it is the perfect subwoofer for medium and larger control rooms. Control panel/setting options All ADAM subwoofers have differentiated options for adapting them to the respective room or satellites. There are control options for volume (-60 to +6 dB), phase switching (180°) and variable upper limit frequency of the subwoofer (50-150 Hz). A filter can be switched on for the satellite outputs, which blocks the signals from the satellites below 85 Hz, for example to reproduce a film sound in a Dolby-compatible manner and to relieve them of the low frequencies.
