Bergantino NXT212 (with horn)

Quite simply they are the finest lightweight speaker cabinets ever made.

A perfect “single cab solution”, with a footprint small enough to play small clubs, yet with the tone, projection and voicing to command the largest stages, the NXT212 is at home in any environment. At only 49 pounds/22.5 kilos this cabinet, with the new and highly advanced NXT technology, punches well above its weight class. The tone is harmonically rich, alive and present while being ultra-supportive with clean, detailed and warm lows. The midrange is where the magic happens with the NXT212. Suddenly, your basses come to life and you’re hearing harmonics and overtones that were never present before. Their presence in a live, congested band mix allows your bass tone to sit perfectly while “staying in your lane”.

The precision tuned cabinet architecture and the enclosure is built with the highest quality lightweight Italian poplar plywood (with Baltic birch baffle boards) selected to our demanding specifications. This lightweight cabinet material (along with the lightweight magnet material) helps reduce the overall cabinet weight, while the exterior is finished in a durable Bronco Tolex covering for long life and cabinet protection. A rigid black grille is added to protect the drivers from damage and to minimise the colouration and tone reduction that can be found with a cloth speaker grille that is in many other competing designs.

Internal components used are extremely high quality and are of Bergantino custom design - no ‘off-the-shelf’ parts are used here. Our newly designed NXT Neodymium magnet woofers are used exclusively for the low frequency section. These Neodymium drivers have a nice full and punchy low-end and a very sweet midrange. For the HF, Bergantino’s renowned Reference compression tweeter is mated to a constant directivity horn, producing a very natural and extended high end. It is coupled to the woofers through a custom designed phase-coherent crossover with a tweeter level control.
