A red on-air signal that is visible from afar indicates that the interpreter's desk is actively translating. If necessary, the interpreter can use a service Key to alert a service technician with a message on the touchscreen of the control center. The translator receives a visual confirmation from the technician. An individual sound control that can be tailored to the interpreters' personal needs is available through volume, treble and bass adjustment. The mute function (throat clearing button) can be used to interrupt the audio transmission into the system for the duration of the operation.
