Description
Have a coffee with Joe
There are really worse moments than chatting over guitars with Mr. Joe Walsh in his hotel room! But seriously, meeting Joe in person is always a great privilege. The result of these meetings was a truly individual instrument that was developed according to Joe's personal requirements and is now being built for everyone. The Joe Walsh Alliance Series shows many elements that tie directly to Joe's style or history. The unusual fretboard inlays represent Joe's name as Morse code, because the Californian is a passionate amateur radio operator. And the Tibetan knot between the two pickups, which Joe also wears as a tattoo, has a deeply personal, symbolic meaning for him.
LittleToaster & SingleTwin pickups
The Duesenberg LittleToaster in the bridge position transmits transparent, almost shiny highs and the hum-free, state-of-the-art Duesenberg SingleTwin Mini delivers classic single-coil neck pick-up sounds. This pickup combination was expressly one of Joe's personal wishes. Joe Walsh, himself an enthusiastic guitar mechanic, likes to assemble the hardware of his guitars in an unusual way, which sometimes ends in colorful mixtures of different hardware finishes. For this very reason we coated the hardware of Alliance Joe Walsh partly with nickel and partly with gold.
Custom radiator vibrato system
THE DUESENBERG RADIATOR TREMOLA IS THE EVOLUTION OF OUR OWN VIBRATO SYSTEM DESIGN.
It delivers all the features that you have come to appreciate and love about our Diamond Deluxe vibrato system, and that in a new, great design. Of course, we have classically gold-plated some elements of the tremola for Joe's personal model. Butter-soft tremolation, absolutely reliable tuning stability and a string change that is child's play - these are the most obvious features of this great development. Needle and nylon bearings that can withstand the toughest loads also provide the familiar, direct Duesenberg feel when using the vibrato arm. This arm can also be freely rotated through 360 °, its angle and length can be adjusted individually. And: The strings are simply and practically passed through eyelets underneath the axle and anchored there.Nickel hardware
A hallmark of our instruments are the three levels that can be found on almost every component - starting with the striking silhouette of the headstock through to the elegant output socket plate. Most of our hardware is coated with nickel. Compared to chrome, nickel has a warm, elegant sheen that develops a completely natural patina over time. Metals used to be coated with nickel before chrome plating established itself as the industry standard. By the way: If you want to keep the original shine of the hardware, we recommend regular cleaning and polishing, e.g. B. with the Duesenberg The Cleaner.
Built to last
A good suitcase is always more stable than its contents.
Curtain up for the cases of the Duesenberg Custom Line series! As indestructible as a flight case, classically cut to shape, built from high-quality materials and constructed to withstand most realistic and unrealistic adversities. You can throw this suitcase in the trunk of your car, in the overhead compartment of a train or in the hold of an airplane without wasting a second thought on it and its contents. The Duesenberg Custom Line Case is included with the purchase of this instrument.
Being a serious guitarhead himself, he also likes to mess around with the hardware of his guitars, often resulting in weird hardware finish mixes, so for this reason the hardware of the Alliance Joe Walsh is a mix of nickel and gold.
The Tibetan Knot on the top between both pickups is a symbol of very personal meaning to Joe which he also carries as a tattoo. The guitar features a thin body profile measuring only 3.5cm/1.37?, a regular Duesenberg mid D profile Neck and medium Jumbo frets.
