Good sound, but doesnt work...
This harmonica has a really wonderful bluezy sound. Unfortunatelly 2-3 holes are blocked-defected, so the instrument is not usable...Its a pitty...

The Marine Band 1896 is the origin of the blues harmonica. This iconic instrument embodies the blues like no other and is the benchmark for diatonic harmonicas - which is why it is still built today in much the same way as when it was patented in 1896.
Although originally intended for European folk music, the sound of the Marine Band quickly became defining in 1896 for the American blues in the 20th century.
Almost all blues greats of the era played it, making it the voice of broken hearts and all-night dancing, endless prairies and stuffy nightclubs. Like no other harmonica, the Marine Band 1896 manages to set feelings to music and stimulate creativity.
