AKG WMS 470 Sportset (650-680 MHz)

The WMS 470 Sports Set is designed for setting up large multi-channel systems and allows maximum freedom of movement. It consists of the SR 470 receiver, the PT 470 bodypack transmitter and the C 544 L headset microphone. The headset microphone is very robust, is very comfortable to wear even with long hair and offers optimal speech intelligibility. The elastic mounting of the capsule effectively suppresses structure-borne noise. The cardioid polar pattern of the C 544 L effectively blocks out ambient noise. A drip ring prevents sweat from penetrating the capsule and largely protects the microphone from moisture. The diversity receiver SR 470 allows the simultaneous operation of up to 16x channels within a frequency band. By combining several frequency bands, absolutely operationally reliable systems with a maximum of 48x routes are possible. Thanks to the automatic frequency setting, where all free channels are found and displayed in the shortest possible time, operation is easy even for laypeople. A pilot tone transmitted with the transmission signal prevents background noise by allowing the receiver to only let the audio signal through when the transmitter is recognized. The SR 470's display changes color to indicate critical operating conditions, such as low remaining transmitter battery life, audio signal peaks or low RF field strength. Instruments and all AKG microphones with mini-XLR jacks can be connected to the PT 470 pocket transmitter. A transmission power of up to 50 mW ensures perfect sound and transmission quality even over long distances. The long battery life leads to a significant reduction in operating costs. The system can operate for up to 14 hours with just one lithium battery and approx. 6 hours with an alkaline battery. The use of a rechargeable NiMh battery allows operation for up to 8 hours. The remaining playing time is displayed on the pocket transmitter. A battery can be charged directly in the transmitter via built-in charging contacts. Both receiver and transmitter work in a switching bandwidth of max. 30 MHz (per frequency set) in the UHF frequency range from 500 MHz to 865 MHz. Within this switching bandwidth, the reception frequency can be selected from the pre-programmed frequency groups and subchannels on the receiver or set directly in 25 kHz steps. All settings are transferred from the receiver to the transmitter via an infrared interface. The WMS 470 is compatible with the WMS 4500 and WMS 450 antenna systems. Thanks to the extensive range of accessories, large multi-channel systems can be set up quickly and easily.
