Behringer was found in 1989 by a Swiss engineer Uli Behringer, the musician couldn't find the products he was looking for, so he decided to create his own. Currently, the product range includes synthesizers, mixers, audio interfaces, PA systems, amplifiers and  much more. The company is recognized for offering affordable and cost-effective alternatives to many high-end audio equipment brands. This approach has made their products widely used by musicians, recording studios, live sound engineers, and music enthusiasts.

The intelligent, CPU-controlled CT100 accepts virtually any connector type: XLR, mono and TRS phone ( 1 /4 ", 1 /8 ", TT), RCA and MIDI. It shows which input pin is connected to which output pin. Separate LED's indicate proper shield connection and phantom power presence. The CT100 also offers an installed cable test mode and a continuity check plus a test tone generator.

Cela faisait longtemps qu'il me fallait un outil de ce genre. Toute personne qui monte son home studio se retrouve vite confronté au problème de la multiplication des câbles de différents formats. Evidemment, il arrive qu'un problème dans l'un des câbles ne permette plus au signal de passer.
La machine est compacte mais relativement lourde, ce qui se justifie par le fait que le testeur est complet. Très simple d'utilisation, la machine fait son travail parfaitement.
Le rapport qualité/prix est très dur à battre. Si je devais lui trouver un seul défaut, je dirais que le compartiment à piles est sécurisé par une vis. Une excellente idée cadeau car c'est typiquement le genre d'objet qui ne semble pas prioritaire mais qui change la vie quand on le possède.
