The MIDI Box One has a single MIDI output and can output MIDI on either the tip or ring of its 1/4″ socket, or send MIDI on both at the same time.
The configuration is easy with the DIP switches on the underside of the MIDI Box One.
Tip Active: Suitable for Alexander, Meris, Empress, Bondi and other devices that use the voltage mode on the socket tip.
Ring active: Suitable for Chase Bliss Audio and other devices that use the voltage mode on the jack ring
Tip and ring active: Offers separate outputs for the tip and ring of the control connection and enables two MIDI outputs via our TRS insert cable. If you plan to connect two Chase Bliss Audio devices together, be sure to choose the RP2 cable with double polarity!
- - Power supply: Requires 9-12V input, maximum 50 mA.
- - Status LED: Lights up blue when powered, flashes red when MIDI data is received. Constant high-speed MIDI data such as MIDI clock can cause the LED to stay purple.
- - MIDI THRU: The MIDI Box One has no MIDI thru capability and must be placed at the end of your MIDI chain.
- - Dimensions: 51mm x 51mm x 27mm (excluding the socket nut).
