I'd been thinking about getting this bass for a long time, partly because I wanted a passive 5-string. It was unavailable here for ages, but then I finally got the email from MusiX: the bass was in Giebenach. 😎 So I drove there, tested it (including comparing it to my Tune BassManiac 5-string for reference), and then took it home. 😁 Leo definitely knew what he was doing when he designed the Precision, and the current 5-string reincarnation is a great success. It's handy, ergonomic, very high quality, has a defined sound, and—especially in this finish—is also very visually appealing. Sure, there are basses with more tonal options, but for my purposes (melodic rock), the Precision is just perfect, and our sound engineer—like me—is very happy with what the bass delivers. ``` The very highest frets (from about the 15th fret upwards) aren't exactly easy to play due to the geometry (which any Precision Bass user will know), but thanks to the contoured neck heel, they're significantly easier to play than on the standard design. I absolutely recommend it; the bass is better than I expected.
