This case is well done and quite light. I bought to go on the plane for a short flight. When I arrived, there was a quite big hole/dent in the case. Thankfully it was in a corner, and it didn't damage the bass. Id' say it's a good case for some travels, tours, etc but not too many plane traveling. For plane travels go for a flight case, heavier but you're sure your instrument is safe wether the airport staff is respectful or not.
