Founded in the 1940's by Clarence Leo Fender, Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company is one of the best known brands in the world of electric guitars, basses, amplifiers and electric pianos. Fender continued to innovate in these areas and built legendary models such as the Telecaster and Stratocaster for the guitar and the Rhodes for the electric piano.

Set of six locking tuners designed to fit most modern-style Fender electric guitars with dual-pin mounting configuration. Tall post tuners are used for the wound strings and shorter post tuners are used for the plain strings. Staggered tuners increase the break angle over the nut and improve tuning stability.

Standard

Die Mechaniken haben meiner (ur)alten Squier Strat neues Leben eingehaucht. Der Einbau ist mit etwas Geduld und handwerklichem Geschick problemlos durchführbar. Hinweis: die erforderliche Bohrung in der Kopfplatte hat das seltsame Zwischenmass von 9.8 mm. Etwas Vorsicht ist auch beim festschrauben der Mechaniken geboten, da das verwendete Material sich als etwas weich herausstellt.

Das sind meine ersten, aber wohl nicht meine letzten locking tuners. Das Upgrade kann ich nur empfehlen. Es trägt zur Stimmstabilität bei und macht den Saitenwechsel zum Kinderspiel.
