The Hummingbird Sustainable is fitted with a richlite fingerboard and bridge containing materials made from recycled content and pulp derived from responsibly harvested trees. We hand rub the wax finish on these beautiful instruments, allowing the guitar to fully resonate. Finished with an LR Baggs VTC pickup.

Diese Hummingbird ist einfach unfassbar gut, die beste Gibson Akustik, die ich jemals in der Hand hatte. Wahrscheinlich hat auch Glück mitgespielt, denn Gibson ist ja bekannt für eine grosse qualitative Streuung.

Die Gitarre kann einfach alles. Ich spiele vorwiegend Fingerpicking, aber sie eignet sich ebenso gut für Strumming. Der Hals ist für mich genau richtig, nicht zu dünn, aber auch nicht zu massiv. Man kann noch gut mit dem Daumen greifen. Die Optik gefällt mir ausgezeichnet. Kein Kolibri, keine Sunburst-Lackierung, ja überhaupt kein Lack - einfach schönes Holz mit einer Bienenwachs-Imprägnierung. Die 'Diamonds and Arrows' Inlays aus Holz wirken edel. 

Das Beste aber ist der Klang: ausgewogen in allen Lagen, mit Sustain ohne Ende, mit grosser Klarheit und Definition in Bässen, Mitten und Höhen und in allen Lagen auf dem Griffbrett. Es klingt zugleich rund und auch brillant, mit einem Gibson-typischen silberhellen Obertonspektrum. Einfach sweet!!!
