    Return Of The Special.

    Originally introduced in 1955, the Les Paul Special has been embraced by musicians for over 60 years. It is based on the Les Paul Junior with a slab mahogany body, fat 50s-style mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound bridge, an additional rhythm P-90 pickup, binding on the neck and additional controls for the rhythm pickup and the 3-way toggle switch.

      So I had the chance to try the Gibson special, Gibson Les Paul standard gold top P90 and Yamaha revstar standard also P90. I thought I would buy the good top but the sound of the special it's just amazing. I totally hate the color but I went there with the idea of choosing based on the sound. I have to say the revstar is a really good instrument for the money. But the pickups are nothing special. The gold top didn't deliver what i wanted, is too mellow too me. Not what i expected from a P90. As i mentioned i really don't like the tv yellow Nor the red version but it's ok. The intonation won't be the best since it doesn't have a bridge and the wraptail is not compensated. If you really want to improve that i would recommend you Schaller signum Bridge, with studs inches version . Thanks musix for organizing the visit so I can choose the best for me Note, the sustain is AMAZING
