I primarily wanted to use the guitar as a replacement for my Silent Yamaha guitar, as I needed to modify it and it had some intermittent contact issues. I recently installed new D'Addario EJ45 strings to ensure they were comparable to the old ones. Since the tuner is a bit finicky, I only use the Fender tuner from the free app. I'm completely satisfied with it for all applications. Of course, the guitar does take some getting used to. But it's also good to play without an amplifier. This is my main use. I tend to play it more slowly, like "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven, rather than like Tim Henson. The fact that I can play up to the 22nd fret helps, as I have a capo on the 4th fret. Generally, it takes a bit longer to get used to than you might think, but I'm hopeful that it will work out. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
