Nord Grand 2

Nord Grand 2 pairs a new Kawai responsive hammer keyboard with triple sensors for precise hammer tracking. It preserves the original’s straightforward workflow while adding dual, independent Piano and Sample Synth layers for greater creative flexibility. Dedicated LED faders for each layer, plus direct-access knobs and buttons, put all live essentials at your fingertips—building layers and splits, adding effects, transposing, and more—instantly. The Piano and Synth engines can be layered or split across the keyboard, and each layer has its own effects. The Piano section includes a wide selection of grands, uprights, and electric pianos from the Nord Piano Library, now enhanced with Dynamic Compression and Unison, captured with high-detail sampling to retain the instruments’ character. The Sample Synth provides two fully independent layers, expanded memory, and a broad palette of new and updated sounds—winds, brass, strings, basses, guitars, and classic analog leads and basses—plus selections from ProjectSAM’s Symphobia and Swing libraries. Intuitive controls for attack, decay/release, velocity response, and quick Soft/Bright tone settings streamline sound shaping. Each layer features an upgraded effects suite with new reverbs, delays, amp models, and modulation.
