Novation Summit: Novation's best synthesizer, for the stage and in the studio

Novation Summit: Novation's best synthesizer, for the stage and in the studio Novation is incredibly proud to announce the new flagship Synthesizer Summit. Technologically, Summit is based on the highly acclaimed PEAK. Summit has 3 oscillators per voice, with a total of 16 voices and was designed for semi-professional musicians and producers in the studio or on stage. More than the sum of two peaks With the 2-stage multi-timbral architecture, Summit combines the "power" of two peaks - several independent patches can either be layered or split on the keyboard. However, Summit is much more than the sum of two peaks. It contains additional dual filters (per area), generously expanded front panel control options, an external audio input. and more. Experience Summit in a completely new way in terms of sound and workflow! Digital - where it counts The heart of Summit is the digital New Oxford oscillator, which is housed on an FPGA chip (Field Programmable Gate Array). This not only creates authentic analog waveforms, but also makes FM and wavetable synthesis easier! Analog - where it counts The FPGA feeds the signal into a real stereo signal path, which includes analog double filters, three analog distortion levels and analog VCAs for each area. It's the combination of flawless, analog emulated oscillators with analog filters and saturations that make Summit sound so incredibly warm and fat. Sound design made easy Summit offers a wealth of modulation sources and assignment options as well as three FPGA effects that allow direct access to the front panel. Summit is a "power synth" in the truest sense of the word and offers producers and performers everything they need to program all kinds of electronic sounds. Be it basses, leads and arps up to pads - the best synthesizer Novation has ever built!

  • - 16-fold polyphonic using a digital FPGA Oxford oscillator for subtractive, FM and wavetable synthesis
  • - Real analog stereo signal path that includes two analog filters (known from BassStation II), analog VCA’s and three levels of analog distortion per area
  • - The 2-part multi-timbral engine enables the combination and merging of two patches
  • - Many of Peak's parameters have been moved to the front panel to ensure faster and easier access
  • - 5-octave, semi-weighted premium keyboard, velocity sensitive and with polyphonic aftertouch
  • - 16 freely assignable modulation slots to create spectacular and unique sounds.
  • - Controlled directly from the front panel: Reverb, Chorus and Delay (also available as modulation targets)
  • - Stereo inputs can be used to route external audio sources to the Peaks FX section
  • - CV inputs to use Summit together with Eurorack and other CV sources for
  • - Modulation and sequencing
  • - Internal power supply

The build is hight quality, the sound is astounding. I dreamed a long time about the good old ARP 2600 being polyphonic. Like the old masterpiece it'a a matter of smart compromises for affordability and I really love how clean and neutral the root sound is and the how honest and precise the Summit behaves to advanced routing. Finally the fact of having two such marvellous sound engines to stack or split just makes me a happier dreamer.
