Extra-gentle hand polishing for high-gloss finishes

The set of nine pads includes #1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12000 grits. Use the grits in sequence to achieve a super gloss.
Micro-Mesh features tiny abrasive crystals on resilient cloth-backed latex. These gentle "cushioned" particles generate less heat and friction than ordinary finishing papers, don't load up as quickly, and last up to 15 times longer. Use Micro-Mesh with soapy water to produce a scratch-free mirror shine on finishes and pickguards. Great for repairing scratches and overspray. Use them for polishing frets, too.

This set can also be used to remove larger scratches and imperfections. The pads have (in my opinion) exactly the right size, feel good in the hand, and, if you follow the instructions carefully, they also last a long time. The only thing that is unclear is the logic behind the color coding for the different grits, so it is essential to pay attention to the included color legend. It is also important to note that even with the finest 12000 grit, you cannot achieve a high-gloss finish. In this case, the treated surface must also be polished with a microfiber cloth and polishing paste.
