The three-part Body made of Bubinga is curved and literally hugs the player. The three-striped Ovangkol neck (four-striped for 5-strings, five-striped for 6-strings, broadneck with approx. 20mm string spacing on the bridge) is attached to the Body with a 4-point screw connection. The rounded, ergonomic shape of the neck joint allows you to easily reach the top frets. The Thumb is known for its excellently fast response and its unmistakable growling sound, which has long made it popular with slappers and solo bassists. The two active MEC pickups and the active MEC 2-band electronics give the player the freedom to react confidently to a wide variety of musical situations and to always deliver the perfect tone. Ideally equipped and constructed with great attention to detail, the Thumb Bolt-on is a professional tool and a small work of art in instrument making at the same time.
