This is a 12-string version of APX700II.
Specially designed non-scalloped X-type bracing allows the guitar's top to sing and maximizes the resonance of the unique body shape for a full, natural tone. With dynamics, sensitivity and clarity built into the design from day one, APX is a guitar not to be underestimated.
The 700 series guitars feature styling and specification driven by the 1000-series guitars but with the exclusive ART pickup system. Designed to capture the guitar's full body resonance, ART's ability to faithfully recreate natural tone and dynamics means that the subtle differences between APX and CPX guitars are perfectly recreated, allowing you to pick the guitar that suits your style and know that character will always shine through. A left-hand version of the APX700II is also available.

Perfect stage instrument. The slim body doesn't produce deep frequencies that need to be removed from the mix. The piezo pickup sounds fantastic, especially in the mid and high frequencies. It's also very easy to adjust for a linear sound. Another great feature is its ease of playability. I've never had a 12-string that's so easy to play. The wood is also very well finished. Yamaha proves once again that they are masters of their craft. However, I wouldn't recommend this instrument for recording with microphones, because it lacks the low frequencies in the resonance. But otherwise, it's simply amazing!
