The GrandTouch TM and GrandTouch-S TM keyboards were developed to be as close as possible to the natural touch and feel of a grand piano. In the CLP -800 series, the weight, shape, material and even small mechanics inside the instruments have been revised and improved to emulate the key resistance and weighting of a grand piano keyboard. The CLP -700 series already made it possible to repeat notes without the Key having to fall back to its original position thanks to its 3 sensors in the keyboard. With the new algorithm in the CLP -800 series, you can now play notes without having to fully press the Key - just like in an acoustic grand piano. This gives you even more expressive possibilities and control in your piano playing. With the new sound chip and the groundbreaking Virtual Resonance Modeling technology (VRM), the CLP - 800 series produces a fuller and more natural resonance than ever before. VRM simulates the complex overtones and resonances that occur when the vibration of the strings spreads to the body and other strings, producing a rich, variable sound depending on the timing and intensity of the playing.
