On the basic instructions of the owners manual the synth really starts to show its power. 128 polyphony is unbelievable. The voices and drumkits are excellently sampled and using the controllers for cutoff, resonance, attack,release, chorus, reverb and two knobs to assign yourself create wierd and wonderful sounds. Creativity is endless. Cubase AI is included but is not really absolutely necessary, I use Linux, atari and amiga and it is easy to assign sequencer programs to use all the features of the synth. I have easily programmed cubase 3.1 for atari ,Bars and pipes for amigaand rose garden, ardour, Muse and Qtractor for Linux. The host usb port is recognised by the alsa midi function for Linux and function out of the box without any additional drivers or software. Also the DIN MIDI IN AND OUT PORTS make it easy to use legacy midi equipment. Under Linux the host USB port also function's as a USB audio port out of the box, both the input and the output function with Alsa, pulse audio and jack. The program and rhythm integrated functions are flexible and easy to manipulate. There is so much more to write about this wonderful device! It's light and easy to move around or carry. Beautifully designed and looks great. 2 displays, one led red and an informative oled display makes it easy to use especially with the jog shuttle. For the price it is the best way to get results for composing. Just love it!
