Motion Control Motion Control gives you rhythmic and multidimensional sound design at your fingertips, ranging from radical interventions to subtle changes. Motion Control Synthesis Engine The MONTAGE's Motion Control Synthesis Engine combines and controls two truly exceptional and powerful sound engines, the AWM2 (a high quality waveform and subtractive synthesis) and the FM-X (a modern and pure frequency modulation synthesis), which can be freely assigned to zones and layers across up to eight parts in a single performance. Motion Control on the MONTAGE offers a fully interactive and flexibly programmable controller matrix that can be used to create deep, dynamic and incredibly expressive sounds. Motion Control makes it possible to create completely new sounds that were previously impossible with other hardware solutions. Super Knob Create highly dynamic sound changes from radical to subtle with the MONTAGE's Super Knob. With this exclusive feature, numerous parameters can be influenced simultaneously in no time at all, allowing you to create sounds that are limited only by your own imagination. Example: Just swap your listening position in front of the instrument with the one in the last row in a concert hall. Performances can just as easily be subjected to radical sound character modifications, from atmospheric to soft to rhythmic and edgy. The functionality of the Super Knob can even be assigned to a second FC7 foot controller to ensure operation even when playing with two hands. Motion Sequencer Motion sequences are tempo-synchronized and completely modifiable controller sequences that can be virtually assigned to any synthesizer parameter, which in practice opens up completely new ways of sound design. Motion sequences can also be modulated interactively and expressively in real time using special control knobs on the MONTAGE control panel. Envelope Follower The envelope follower function can be used to set audio signals as source controllers for every conceivable parameter. In this way, for example, a drum loop is able to generate creative effect parameter patterns. Similarly, a vocal recording can be used as a multiple parameter controller to teach the synthesizer to speak. The MONTAGE's A/D input can of course also be used to loop in audio signals directly live for these purposes.
