The latest Revstar® models refine the look, sound, and feel of Yamaha’s original Revstar guitar series. The RSS20 is available in two new café racer-inspired finishes and features a chambered body and carbon-reinforced neck—developed using Yamaha’s exclusive Acoustic Design process to enhance tone, reduce weight, and ensure optimal balance without sacrificing resonance. Alnico V humbucking pickups combined with a 5-position pickup selector and a passive push/pull Focus Switch provide uncommon versatility from a two-pickup guitar. The RSS20L model for left-handed players is also available. A deluxe gig bag is included.
CHAMBERED BODY WITH ACOUSTIC DESIGN
Revstar Standard guitars feature chambered bodies designed to sculpt tone and reduce weight, with carbon reinforcement in the neck to improve vibration transfer.
5-WAY SWITCHING
With the same 5-way switching as Revstar Professional, the subtle phase shift on positions 2 and 4 offers a fresh take on classic “in-between” sounds.
FOCUS SWITCH
The push/pull Tone control activates a passive boost with an effect similar to overwound pickups—darker highs, increased mids and lows, and an aggressive character.
CHOICE OF PICKUPS
RSS20 and RSS20L feature humbuckers, and RSS02T offers P90-style single-coils. All pickups are custom designed by Yamaha and use Alnico V magnets for powerful tone.
