The Korg B2 is a 'beginner's' keyboard - that's what everyone says. BUT, it has some good features which make it a great little keyboard for instant use, e.g. speakers. It also has USB so can be used as a master keyboard. It's light weight makes it easy to transport to a gig. Good sounds, even though limited to only 12 - the Rhodes is one of the best I've heard.
Positive :-
- 88 keys with a reasonably good piano-type action
- Good stock sounds, especially the pianos and electro-pianos (Rhodes, Wurlitzer, DX7)
- Light weight
- USB
- Speakers
- Price !
Negative :-
- Non-standard sustain pedal plug, awkward to install and de-install for each transportation as it is UNDER the keyboard
- Sustain pedal is rather small, although works well
- No display and function markings not visible (they're on the rail in front of the keys, but are black just like the rail)
Uses : Teacher / Pupil (special mode), lightweight gig instrument, master keyboard over USB, or just a 'piano' !
