The LRF-05 sound intensity recorder-limiter by frequency intervenes in the entirety of the sound chain in a spectral manner via octave bands. The device consists of an integrating averaging sensor across frequency bands (octaves) and an attenuator of more than 40 dB, which is activated in real time depending on the evaluation and energetic calculation of the octaves. This makes full use of the sound insulation of the location and thus achieves the highest possible sound pressure without disturbing the neighbors and without restricting the playback quality (no compressor effect). The LRF-05 features various predictive response algorithms to ensure that the measured sound pressure does not exceed the pre-programmed limit, with no abrupt changes in music volume. The LRF-05 is equipped with an internal self-checking system that is able to detect possible manipulations of the measuring system (sensor) as well as changes to the music system. The device constantly saves the results of this testing process. The LRF-05 can be connected to an external light display (DL-SE) from which the measured sound pressure and the evaluation of this level can be read.
