N 149 A - power supply (230V) for microphone M147 Tube / M149 Tube The power supply N 149 A supplies a tube microphone M 147/149/150 Tube. It can be operated with all mains voltages between 100 V and 240 V, 50 or 60 Hz. The microphone is connected via an 8-pin DIN connector. At the output of the power supply, the modulation is on an XLR 3 M connector. The modulation output is symmetrical. The N 149 A supplies the polarization voltage for the microphone capsule, the heating voltage regulated via a sensor line and another voltage to generate the anode and other operating voltages in the microphone itself. The device supplies constant current and therefore causes a soft start of the tube. The KT 8 cable between the microphone and the power supply unit can be up to around 100 m long; for modulation, cable lengths of up to around 300 m are permitted. The three versions of the N 149 A only differ in the included power cable.
