Layout

Reason's four workspaces: The Browser, where you'll find your instruments, sounds and effects. The Mixer. The Reason rack, where all your instruments and effects live. The sequencer where you record and edit your music.

The Rack

The Rack is the heart of the Reason 'Music-Making' environment. You build your rack as you create your song, and add the instruments, plug-ins, sounds, and effects your music needs.

CV & Routing

All instruments and effects are automatically connected when you add them to the rack. However, if you want to be creative, press the Tab key to flip the rack and configure it to your liking.

The Mixer

Reason's mixer is carefully modeled after legendary studio technology. It's a great way to put the finishing touches to your music.
