Description

  • FISHMAN PICKUPS

Fishman Greg Koch Gristle-Tone Signature pickups are hum-free, boast extra clarity and treble shimmer, and a push button boost on the control plate kicks in the midrange gristle. Conveniently recharges with USB port at the input jack

  • WILKINSON BRIDGE

The genuine Wilkinson Staggered Brass Saddle bridge features uniquely shaped compensated brass saddles for perfect intonation and extra sustain, and a heavy duty steel bridge plate for serious twang.

  • ROASTED MAPLE NECK

Roasted Maple is heat treated at over 300° F to remove sugars, moisture, and impurities. This maple is lighter, more stable, and has a beautiful caramel color. The result is an exceptional maple neck that will require less seasonal adjustment, and boasts a rich vintage look!

  • KORINA BODY

Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.

  • CHAMBERED BODY

The strategically placed chamber underneath the pickguard reduces weight, and turns up the body resonance for a more lively and responsive tone.

  • PIN-LOCK TUNERS

A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.

  • INITIALED HEADSTOCK

Every Reverend is hand initialed and serial numbered on the back of the headstock by one of our highly skilled technicians who sets up, inspects, and tests every instrument.

  • CUSTOM KNOBS

We took the traditional barrel knob and added a white dot, which lets you easily see where your knob rotation is set. Simple, but effective.

  • BONEITE NUT

We use "Boneite," a synthetic bone nut, that is more consistent than natural bone, on all Reverend instruments. It reduces friction, allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability.

  • TRIPLE-TREE STRING TREE

This patent-pending string tree has an extended bar to hold down three strings at a time with just one tree, eliminating G string buzz in the nut slot.

  • SIX-BOLT NECK PLATE

Two extra bolts increase mounting pressure of the neck by fifty percent. This makes a stronger neck connection, which improves sustain, tuning stability, and neck alignment.

  • ANGLED NECK HEEL

All Reverend solidbody guitars in the Bolt-On series feature a low profile, angled neck heel. This improves comfort and hand access when you’re reaching for those high notes!

  • PURE TONE JACK

All Reverends use an upgraded jack by Pure Tone Technologies. A standard jack has single contacts, but the Pure Tone jack has dual contacts for improved grip, audio signal and reliability. The most dependable guitar jack available.

  • TREBLE BLEED CIRCUIT

All Reverend guitars have a treble bleed circuit, preserving the treble when you roll back the volume control. When you roll back a standard volume control, the tone loses treble and becomes dull sounding. Now you can turn down and still sound great!

  • 10% POTS

We use Alpha control pots with a +-10% rating. While a typical pot is +-20%, our pots are built to tighter specifications, making them more consistent. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars, but standard issue in all Reverends.

  • 10% POLY CAPS

We use caps with a +-10% rating, while a typical cap is +-20%. Our caps are made to tighter specifications, so they’re more consistent. Made of polyester, they’re also longer lasting, and less affected by temperature than cheaper ceramic caps. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars.

Of course, the guitar is equipped with the Fishman Greg Koch Signature Gristle-Tone pickups – hum-free, rechargeable active pickups with two distinct voicings. A roasted maple compound radius neck contributes to the playability, while the Wilkinson Classic 3-Saddle bridge with staggered brass saddles and steel baseplate keeps the tone vintage-inspired. This guitar sounds classic, but with tons of modern options at your fingertips.

Brand

Reverend Guitars began quietly, in a garage behind a bicycle shop in East Detroit in 1997. Joe Naylor drew upon his years of study in Industrial Design, Lutherie School, and professional vintage guitar repair to create the first Reverend Guitar. It was unusual in its design, but what impressed most people was the attention to detail that Joe put into the instrument. The brand has now grown to encompass a global presence and has garnered the attention of rock stars, working musicians, journalists, and kingmakers from all across the industry. Reverend offers many shapes and styles of guitars and basses, but the one thing that remains the same is the professional quality that's available for everyone - whether you're selling out amphitheaters or playing in your living room. Currently based in Toledo, Ohio, Reverend is run by Ken and Penny Haas. All of the guitars are expertly designed by Joe Naylor, proudly manufactured in South Korea by boutique guitar manufacturer Mirr Music, and meticulously set up by our tech team - lead by Zach Green who initials each one before it goes out the door. From the well-known to the unknown, players of all stripes are impressed because Reverend pays attention to what makes an instrument the kind of instrument players want to play. And that, by the way, is where Reverend's attention will always lie.
