I had a journey with reactive load boxes trying to tame the 'loud' of high-watt amps, using the Rivera Rock Crusher, excellent and sturdy load box, with some limitations in recording capabilities, the Two Notes Torpedo Captor, excellent if you need only one impedance and compact design (choice of 4, 8, or 16 Ohms), and now the universal and effectively premium UA OX Amp Top Box with WiFi connection to a computer or iPad to monitor the settings.
It is indeed the best on earth at its price.

Description
A complete guitar recording system
With the RIG knob on the front of OX you can select one of six programs (rig) in a flash. A rig consists of a modeled speaker cabinet, near-field and room microphones and up to four studio effects that can be used simultaneously. OX is the only guitar recording system to offer a comprehensive selection of professionally placed room mics, giving you the authentic feeling of playing with your amp cranked up in a real studio recording room.
Dynamic Speaker Modeling
UA's groundbreaking Dynamic Speaker Modeling technology faithfully emulates speaker clipping and resonance—a key ingredient in organic tube amp tones. With the use of the Speaker Breakup slider in the OX app, you control the overtone structure and sound complexity that only occurs at certain frequencies or volumes. In contrast to a system with static impulse responses, you achieve identical sound phenomena as with a real amp cabinet.
A wonderful software app
Most guitar products work digitally unwieldy. They're ugly and hard to understand. The OX software app, on the other hand, offers elegant, intuitive control of all OX RIG settings over WiFi - allowing you to tweak, store and recall hundreds of presets from your iPad, Mac or Windows 10 computer. You can then save your six favorite sounds to the RIG knob on the front of the OX for instant recall in the studio or at a gig.
All the right connections
OX Amp Top Box has one. In addition to the headphone jack on the front, which allows silent practice with a fully cranked tube amplifier, OX offers a variety of connections for a wide variety of recording and live workflows. S/PDIF cinch and optical TOSLINK digital stereo outputs, as well as balanced TRS stereo line outputs with line out control on the front panel, provide you with all the necessary connections for studio monitor boxes, DAWs or the inputs of live mixers.
their tube amp in its ideal sweet spots - from the edge- of-breakup to fully cranked - at any volume level, and with instant album-quality mic, room, and speaker cabinet
