For those who don't want the typical sound of a 'Big Sky' or 'Space' reverb. For me, the Empress is clearly the favorite of the 'expensive' reverbs, because I've simply heard/seen too many videos, and the BigSky sound has become irritating over time (I own several Strymon devices). With the Empress, I find that it sounds versatile and (positively) unique after a week of experimenting. Unlike, for example, the Cloud setting on the BigSky. I don't need either the MIDI inputs/outputs or a display.
