Having just received this guitar from MusiX, after a 9 month wait, I have to say it was worth the wait. WIth current logistic Problems, I was told it would not be here until perhaps January 2022, so technically, it was early delivery. Musix did Keep me in touch and informed, and their service was excellent.

The Instrument itself was purchased more as a 'nice to have' as opposed to one intended for stage work or, to be fair much use at all. It was more as a curiosity than anything. Whilst this is not the full limited Edition replica, which at around $25K is somewhat unobtainable, it looked a suitable purchase to get a feel of the mind set of EVH.

However, upon receipt it has quickly become apparent that this is a really nicely made Instrument, that plays extremely well, sounds exceptional, and to be honest is just great fun. So, whilst tone, range, playability, technical specs etc could all be covered in depth, I choose not to. Simply put, if you get the chance, certainly buy this guitar to play and have fun with as that, I suspect, is what EVH did!

EVH Striped Series Frankie custom shop relic

Quand Fender a lancé la marque EVH en 2007, ce fut avec une réplique exacte de la légendaire Frankenstrat, 300 exemplaires à 25‘000$ pièce. Aujourd‘hui, ces rares instruments se vendent bien au-delà du prix d’achat de jadis. 
Dans l‘esprit d’Eddie van Halen, EVH offre depuis 2020 une réplique largement plus accessible aux guitariste, avec une surface vieillie comme il faut (certainement pas du Fender Custom Shop ou Gibson Murphy Lab, mais bien fait quand même), un pickup qui envoie du bois et un tremolo avec drop-D intégré. Que demander de plus?
La guitare est très résonnante, le manche huilé charmant pour la main et les composants de bonne qualité. Juste se donner un peu de temps pour l‘accorder, laisser la guitare s’adapter, ensuite c‘est du solide.
Une belle guitare qui se la joue bien. Que du plaisir.
Als Fender 2007 die Marke EVH auf den Markt brachte, war es mit einer exakten Nachbildung des legendären Frankenstrat, 300 Exemplare zu je 25.000 US-Dollar. Heute werden diese seltenen Instrumente weit über dem Kaufpreis von einst verkauft.
Ganz im Sinne von Eddie van Halen bietet EVH seit 2020 einen für Gitarristen deutlich zugänglicheren Nachbau an, mit ordentlich gealterter Oberfläche (sicher nicht aus dem Fender Custom Shop oder Gibson Murphy Lab, aber trotzdem gut gemacht), einen heissen Tonabnehmer und ein Tremolo mit integriertem Drop-D. Was mehr?
Die Gitarre ist sehr resonant, der geölte Hals liegt angenehm in der Hand und die Komponenten sind von guter Qualität. Geben Sie sich einfach ein wenig Zeit, um es zu stimmen, lassen Sie die Gitarre sich anpassen, dann ist es solide.
Eine schöne Gitarre, die gut gespielt wird. Nur Spaß.
