Die Hammond XK-5 ist sehr schön verarbeitet, klingt fantastisch und ist trotz des vergleichsweise hohen Preises fast wieder günstig. Es handelt sich ja auch eigentlich um eine zweimanualige Engine, die sich gut von einem zweiten Keyboard getrennt über Zugriegel steuern lässt. Die Leslie-Simulation ist hervorragend. Das Zukaufen eines mechanischen Leslie lohnt sich nicht unbedingt. Für Leute, die sich nicht entscheiden können zwischen Hammond XK-5 oder Hammond SK-Pro: es sind absolut zwei verschiedene Welten, und es lohnt sich gut abzuwägen, wie man das Keyboard nutzen will.

Makellos

Man kann lange darüber reden: Am Schluss geht die Reproduktion des analogen Instruments bei keinem Konkurrenten soweit wie bei der Hammond XK-5. Röhren-Vorstufe, physische Modellierung und Sampling, 3 Phasen-Kontaktsystem beim Keyboard. Und gut aussehen tut sie auch. Der Preis ist hoch, aber man bekommt auch einiges dafür!
