Eine der besten, wenn nicht die beste Strat, die ich je gespielt habe und ich besitze einige, auch Custom Shop Modelle von F. Die Bespielbarkeit ist perfekt, dünne Spaghettibünde und 7,25' Griffbrettradius. Davon merkt man nix. Halsdicke nicht zu dünn, nicht zu fett. Der Sound ist unglaublich. Die Cleansounds sind für mich super ausgewogen, durch alle PU-Kombis hinweg. Weich aber nicht dumpf. Mit den Tonepots lassen sich die Sounds noch auf den entsprechenden Amp abgleichen. Der Bridge PU klingt bei vielen Strats im Cleanbereich unbrauchbar. Bei der Silver Sky ist hier keine Diamantbohrmaschine und kein Eispickel am Werk. Im Crunch- und Distortionbereich haben die PU's dann aber auch wieder genügend Kraft. Ich weiss nicht, wie Paul das hinkriegt, es haut auf jeden Fall hin. Ich habe die Versionen mit Mapleboard und Rosewood getestet. Die Mapleversion ist noch einen Schuss klarer und druchsetzungsfähiger. Und ja, die ellenlangen Diskussionen über den Headstock kann man sich sparen. Es ist eine PRS-Strat, welche locker an die Originale aus vergangenen Zeiten herankommt. In diesem Fall spielt die Kopfplatte irgendwann keine Rolle mehr.
