The ADX40 is a miniature pre-polarized condenser microphone. It has been specially developed for hanging from the ceiling. A total of three models are available, each with different directional characteristics (cardioid, omnidirectional and hypercardioid) and each in black or white. The ADX - 40 is primarily used in theater productions, choir recordings or “ambient miking”. (Detecting ambient noise). The microphone offers a uniform transmission range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz and the special wire bracket enables unobtrusive, precise alignment and positioning of the suspended microphone. The operating voltage can be between 9-52 volts phantom voltage. If supply via the existing audio mixer is not possible, an optional power supply (APS911) can be added. This supplies the microphone with voltage via the internal battery. A two-channel, mains-operated phantom power unit APS2 is also available. Low-noise electronics and a low-impedance symmetrical output guarantee interference-free performance, even with longer cable lengths. The scope of delivery includes a cable (10 m, mini-XLR), a phantom voltage converter/capacitor electronics (APS910, mini-XLR to XLR male), which is used to adapt the mixer-side supply voltage (9-52 V) to the microphone a removable wire bracket MC40 for positioning the suspended microphone, a foam windscreen WS20 and a transport box.
