A guitar doesn't have to cost a bundle to sound good.

A guitar doesn't have to cost a bundle to sound good. The GIO series was developed for players who want Ibanez quality in a more affordable package. Not only do they look and play better than everything else in their price range, but their rigorous inspection, set-up and warranty is the same as Ibanez's more expensive models.

One of the best entry-level guitars on the market. Honestly, I was expecting an instrument that wouldn't quite reach the level of Ibanez's entry-level guitars, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. It has a very understated and elegant look thanks to its matte black finish, sounds great, is very lightweight, and the neck finish is perfect for quickly moving your hand around. A perfect guitar for beginners!

Sound

In a nutshell, it has all the typical characteristics of a metal guitar: a mahogany body, an maple neck, etc. However, it is equipped with passive Ibanez pickups with double membranes, which sound great, but with slightly less gain compared to active EMG pickups. This results in a clear sound, but with less high-gain than with active EMG pickups. If you are looking for an affordable guitar with a metal sound, this is the one you need.
