The build is hight quality, the sound is astounding. I dreamed a long time about the good old ARP 2600 being polyphonic. Like the old masterpiece it'a a matter of smart compromises for affordability and I really love how clean and neutral the root sound is and the how honest and precise the Summit behaves to advanced routing. Finally the fact of having two such marvellous sound engines to stack or split just makes me a happier dreamer.
The Summit is the perfect all-purpose synthesizer. It's suitable for both simple, quick sound design and performances. All functions can be controlled directly with a single knob, without the need for menus or long button presses. The sound is fantastic and a lot of fun to play. It has no digital feel; it sounds very analog.
