The Hi-X55 circumaural headphones offer maximum comfort as well as maximum flexibility and stability thanks to their sophisticated folding construction. All mechanically stressed components such as hinges or the headband are made of metal and guarantee long durability even under the toughest conditions in the studio or on the go. The brand new 44 mm Hi-X driver was developed from scratch by Austrian Audio's acoustic engineers. This newly developed "High Excursion" technology enables improved airflow and the strongest magnetic field in its class. The ring magnet system in conjunction with a copper-coated aluminum voice coil reduces the weight of the moving masses. This enables significantly faster movements and changes of direction. The result is a greatly improved reproduction of transients and level peaks, which is of central importance when working on today's digital recording and mixing systems and also guarantees precise reproduction of the low bass range. A double-walled ear shell was developed and installed for the best possible attenuation of ambient noise, such as preventing the headphone signal from spilling over into the recording. Another key criterion for headphones is wearing comfort. To ensure this, the shape of the ear pads has been completely redesigned, so that there is now more space for the ears without having to enlarge the ear cups. The Hi-X design therefore reduces fatigue during long recording or listening sessions. Developed and produced in Austria by an experienced team, the Hi-X headphones are perfectly tailored to today's demanding production conditions.
