The new HHX line of Evolution models is primarily characterized by excellent dynamics and fast response as well as warm and present basic sounds. The effect cymbals impress with their idiosyncratic and characteristic sounds, which should be interesting for both drummers and percussionists. With regard to musical areas of application, many areas are conceivable, as long as they do not require a fundamentally high volume (...and after all, what are microphones for?). When it comes to workmanship, Sabian offers the well-known high quality and our test candidates proved to be reliable and flawlessly processed in practical tests. Even the flexible, sensitive O Zone Crash Cymbals survived an overload test without any damage or loss of sound. In this respect, the pricing is quite acceptable and corresponds to the usual framework. An individual sound check can be recommended simply because of the fine effect sounds, and the conventional models also offer excellent sound characteristics that interested drummers should definitely convince themselves of.
