The price-to-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. I have used this product daily for professional purposes for 6 years and have now replaced it due to normal wear and tear.
I tested it against headphones from the same brand, such as the HD 800, and this headphone performs exceptionally well with a good DAC and high-resolution files. It offers a very open soundstage, a very neutral and smooth sound, although perhaps with a slight emphasis on the very low frequencies. In my opinion, which is subjective, I prefer it to its larger siblings.
