I wanted a good affordable mic to build up my home recording studio. With a Rode NT1-A you cannot go wrong. Excellent quality, for a very affordable price. The studio package is highly recommended: comes with mic mount and pop shield.

Sound

Having operated in a home studio for four years, I would definitely buy it again. It offers good value for money and, with the use of a few basic DAW effects, is a versatile option for vocals and acoustic instruments – all without the need for soundproofing. It's sensitive enough for clean recordings, yet ambient noise remains surprisingly distant. As for the MusiX prices, there's nothing more to say; however, I would only give it 4 out of 5 stars for ease of use, as the instructions are sometimes only available in English, which can be confusing for users unfamiliar with complex functions...
