Overall the practice amp is great for small spaces, versatile and fun with loads of options. However, when using the wireless connection, there is a noticeable popping sound.
This is a well-made practice amp. It sounds really good and is well-tuned for the amp models, and the built-in effects also sound great, because they are Boss effects. The smartphone app with Bluetooth also works perfectly, allowing you to download and play other effects through the amp. It covers everything from blues to metal. You just need to take some time to adjust the sound to your own taste, just like with any amp. The Katana also works perfectly with pre-amp pedals when the gain knob is turned all the way to the left. Whether it's a wah, fuzz, distortion, delay, or reverb, everything sounds great when connected in a chain. It doesn't have an FX loop, but I don't miss it because it's a practice amp. The better your headphones are, the better the amp will sound, that's all there is to it! The wireless cable connection also works very well, but you lose a bit of sustain when holding notes for a long time, compared to a good cable. I'm absolutely thrilled!
