If you want to get one of these, understand that you will need to modify your Floyd Rose tremolo, changing it from floating to only diving down, not coming back up. If you don't block the tremolo to keep it from pulling past the resting position, then you will have issues. And this my friends, can take a little time and ingenuity. If it wasn't for this step, you could install this device and have it running in 10-15 minutes. I gave this a 4 because it is too expensive for what it does. But I needed a drop D tuning for some songs in our band, and the ability to switch right back, and that's what this device does. I was surprised at how good it can be in tune in both E and D when you switch back and forth. You can set it perfectly so that it won't go out of tune with the switch. I tend to just tune it with the Floyd Rose fine tuner at the bridge, on the E string when I switch, to make sure that it's in perfect tune, but you can actually dial it in with a fine tuning mechanism on the D Tuna device itself. Understated, but brilliant. Exactly what you need to drop down from E to D or a whole step.
I nstalled this on my Hamer Diablo 2. D will only drop to E flat. Fine tuning screw on the D tuna is very small, will slip out easily and is not well built. The guitar is now with a luthier. I'm used to Floyd rose manipulations as I changed the full trem and installed a backbox myself. Very disappointed I would have returned unfortunately the date was overdue... Please avoid
