The NAUTILUS AT 61 Gray offers nine different sound engines for special instrument groups: The SGX-2 engine for amazingly authentic concert grand piano sounds, the EP-1 engine for convincing electric piano sounds from a wide variety of eras, the CX-3 engine for assertive tonewheel organ sounds, the AL-1 engine for virtual analog synthesis, the MOD-7 engine for classic and modern FM synthesis, the STR-1 engine for string instruments that are generated in real time based on physical modeling, the HD-1 engine for high-resolution, sample-based sounds and the two engines PolysixEX and MS-20EX, the virtual Replicas of the legendary KORG analog synthesizers. Thanks to its multi-timbrality, the NAUTILUS enables extremely complex layer and split sounds from up to 16 individual sounds each. Thanks to the large touch display and the newly designed user interface, operation is more intuitive than with any KORG workstation before. Essential sounds for live and studio keyboard players are complemented by experimental sounds for ambient and soundtrack compositions, and the combination of a double arpeggiator and a matching drum track brings the sound programs to life at the touch of a button. The lavishly equipped sequencer has 16 MIDI and 16 audio tracks, making it ideal for producing complete tracks and playing complex backing arrangements on stage. Thanks to the "Smooth Sound Transition" function, sustained sounds and their effects are not cut off when switching to the next sound program, but fade out naturally. Thanks to the six freely assignable "Quick Access" buttons on the control panel, the NAUTILUS AT Gray can be ideally adapted to your personal preferences, and the seven rotary controls that can be retracted into the device offer optimal control over all important sound parameters at all times. The connection section also leaves nothing to be desired with balanced stereo outputs, assignable individual outputs, audio inputs and an integrated USB audio interface, and the professionally equipped sampler enables you to create your own sounds and complex multisamples. Using KORG's own "Dynamics" controller, the attack behavior of the instrument can be continuously regulated at any time and adapted to the respective playing situation, while the flexible effects section with twelve insert, two master and two total effects ensures the perfect sound rounding off. The "Set List" function, which is particularly practical for live use, allows you to create your own set lists in which sound programs, combinations and songs can be stored in the required order and called up again later. With optionally available sound libraries from KORG and numerous third-party providers, the NAUTILUS AT Gray can also be adapted to your own sound ideas.
