Despite their compact dimensions and low weight, the AIR15 active speakers deliver a powerful, extended low frequency range and natural-sounding highs in a housing that easily fits in the back seat of a small car. Thanks to a (dynamic) Class D/AB power of 1,200 watts and intuitive digital tuning functions, the AIR15 delivers exactly the power and functionality you need for mobile applications and fixed installations. The best from both worlds. Each type of amplifier has its advantages and disadvantages. By using different amplifiers for each driver, the AIR15 speakers benefit from the strengths of Class D and Class A/B amplifiers to achieve optimal response across the speaker's entire frequency range. A 500W (continuous duty) Class D amplifier powers the 15" low-frequency driver, delivering efficient, distortion-free performance that delivers when needed. A 200W (continuous duty) Class A/B amplifier drives the 1, 35 mm high-frequency drivers and ensures a natural-sounding, airy high-end range. Overall, this combination delivers a sound pressure level of up to 124 dB SPL and ensures pleasant and distortion-free playback in the 47 Hz to 20 kHz range. Quick and easy Adjustment. The AIR15 loudspeaker has an intuitive signal processor that enables optimal adjustment of the loudspeakers at the push of a button. Using presets, the response of the AIR15 can be adjusted for FOH use, for driving stage monitors, for pure music playback (e.g. for DJs), for extended bass reproduction and a warmer sound or for optimized speech intelligibility. Room modes can be compensated for by up to +/-10 dB using controls for the treble and bass. Location presets allow you to customize playback for use on tripods and wall mounts, as well as for flown installation. Extensive mounting options for a variety of applications. The plastic housing of the AIR15 can be mounted in a particularly variety of ways. The housing is designed for different angles of use and is equipped with non-slip rubber feet - on the bottom for vertical installation as a PA speaker and on one side for use as a stage monitor. Alternatively, you can fly the speaker over the M10 mounting points, mount it on the wall or on a support using a flange, or place it directly on the floor for mobile applications. Mount it on a tripod or on an AIR series subwoofer using an optionally available tripod pole. The integrated flange offers two positions and allows for straight or 7.5° downward orientation. And thanks to the handle on the top, the AIR15 is particularly easy to transport. Down to earth. If you place a speaker directly on a hard surface such as a wall or floor, the low frequencies emitted from the back of the speaker will be reflected back into the room. This effect is known as "half-space enhancement" and can increase the bass content of the spectrum by up to 6 dB - an unavoidable problem with floor monitors. Most PA speakers in this class simply attenuate low frequencies using a high-pass filter, which is not a useful solution to the half-space problem. The full-range speakers of the AIR series, on the other hand, offer a monitor preset that uses DSP technology to tune the speaker in such a way that, on the one hand, an increase in the bass is balanced and a homogeneous response in the mid-bass range is ensured, and on the other hand, problematic frequencies be suppressed to avoid feedback. Flexible inputs. The full-range speakers in the AIR series have multiple inputs and are therefore suitable for operation with very different sources. There are two combo inputs with XLR microphone and TRS line sockets, each equipped with its own Class A microphone preamplifier and its own gain control. Signals from a smartphone, tablet and other consumer audio devices can be fed in via a stereophonic 3.5 mm jack connection. These signals can be mixed in the AIR15 's internal mixer and routed to other AIR series speakers via the XLR mix output.
